Version 7.1.1 repairs file uploads in Chat and Work. Drop documents, presentations, spreadsheets, tables, PDFs, text, code or images into RYE and ask for a summary, explanation or comparison.

Readable content is extracted locally. Damaged, encrypted, active-content and unsafe archive files are blocked instead of being falsely marked ready.

File intelligence that works where you work.

Chat now accepts up to five direct attachments. Work automatically creates a private file workspace when needed, verifies readable content, and provides a local preview before you ask RYE to analyze it.

Documents

DOCX, ODT, RTF, text, code and text-layer PDF with local extraction and preview.

Presentations

PPTX and ODP slide text becomes bounded, private context for summaries and analysis.

Tables

XLSX, ODS, CSV and TSV cells are converted locally into structured context.

Office archives are checked for encryption, unsafe paths, symbolic links, active DOCX payloads and excessive expansion. Legacy .doc, .ppt and .xls files must first be saved in a modern format.

Before installing

First setup requires internet access, several GB of download space and time to prepare the model. Subsequent local chat can work offline. Voice availability depends on your operating system and language; network transcription requires consent.

Close RYE before upgrading. These installers use the existing RYE data location and preserve your profile, projects and memory. Back up important data before any upgrade.
